MobRacer

MobRacer is an extensive 3D, multiplayer kart racing game that you get to play online in your browser from anywhere, at any time. You don’t need to download and install a bunch of software to make it work. It’s ready to play online without any installations as long as you have the Shockwave plug-in (which is just like Flash and also from Adobe).

But MobRacer is more than just racing. It’s also a place to hang out with your friends, to challenge them to beat your lap times and accomplishments, to stoke rivalries with other racers, and to deck out your kart with individual and custom items you can design in the Shop. So start exploring and keep letting us know if we can do anything better through the Report bugs button at the top of the page.

To race on MobRacer, you’ll need to install a quick plug-in from Adobe into your browser. Please install the Adobe Shockwave 11 plug-in and return to MobRacer to race. Don’t worry, it’s from the same people who make Flash and lets you do all kinds of cool stuff on MobRacer and all over the web. You can follow the directions on the Adobe website to get the plug-in and running.

Team

Teams are made up of 10 more racers who band together to earn team points. Team points contribute to the team’s overall ranking – and the goal is to be a top team. You can have as many team members on a team as you like, but only the points earned by the top 10 teammates contribute to the overall team points. A cool feature of being part of a team is that all teammates have a special, personalized license plate that the team captain gets to design. You can view Team Standings to see which teams are the best and where your team ranks.

How to join a team

You can either join an existing team or create your own team.

To join an existing team, first see if any of your friends belong to a team. Visit their team page through their profile or on your team page and click on the “Join Team” button above the team plate.

You can always create your own team. Note that team formation is pending until you have a minimum of 10 teammates. Until you recruit 9 other teammates, you cannot earn team points, and no one can have the customized team plate on their kart. Being a team captain takes great leadership and management skills. As a new player, other players may seem to you to be more advanced and much stronger, and you may feel that there is too much challenge. You can find more information here.
